The Red Tail Ranch, a not-for-profit organization focusing on education about native plants and pollinators, delivered National Geographic butterfly lifecycle kits to four classrooms at Pine Crest Elementary. Dr. Cat Eads, GRF Director of Student Services, and President of the Red Tail Ranch, delivered the kits and a check to have the caterpillars delivered to each classroom.

Mrs. Thorman and Mrs. Douglass's 4th graders kicked off March Madness with a stem project! They built catapults to launch basketballs, then redesigned until they were able to make a basket! They had a mini tournament at the end to show off their skills!







We have lots of lost and found items at Pine Crest! Be sure to check it out during conferences tonight. It is located behind the office.


This is a reminder that there is no school Friday, March 22, 2024 through Sunday, March 31, 2024. Students will return to school on Monday, April 1, 2024.


This is a reminder that parent/teacher conferences are scheduled for Wednesday, March 20th and Thursday, March 21st, 2024. Please contact either your teacher, or your building office, to schedule a conference. Conferences are scheduled from 4:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. both days, and will end at 7:00 p.m.

The 4th graders in Mrs. Thorman/Mrs. Douglass's class had a GLOW DAY to review for the upcoming IAR test! They reviewed angles and geometry, word problems, text structure, and practiced informative writing!









Mrs. Davis’s 2nd graders are hard at work writing their paragraphs in response to their focus task question. Student’s just finished reading The Story of Johnny Appleseed, by Aliki, and took all their knowledge to talk about the lesson that was learned in this legend that has been passed down over time.




For Read Across America Week, Pine Crest has been participating in drop everything and read each day. Here's Mrs. Sollars class doing just that in the hallway!


Zarielle got to use the book vending machine for following expectations & always doing what she’s told. Keep up the great work!


Mrs. Scott’s first grade did whisper reading during our Wit and Wisdom lesson. We are currently reading Green Eggs and Ham!
