A HUGE congratulations is in order for our very own second grade teacher Mrs. Jessica Davis. She was the only teacher in ALL of Vermillion County to be recognized by the Illinois State Board of Education with an Award of Special Recognition. Teachers who earn this award are those who have been recognized by their colleagues, students, families, and administrators for the skills, passions, and talents they bring to their school community.
We are so thankful to have Mrs. Davis as one of our second grade teachers and are thrilled that she is getting the recognitions she deserves for all of her hard work and effort. Way to go Mrs. Davis! A full list of those recognized can be found at the following link:

Mrs. Cosat's class had a fun experiment today, testing whether it’s easier to eat with a thin beak using a straw or a wide beak using a cup. They thought the thin beak would be the winner, but after trying it out, they discovered that the wide beak actually made it easier to get the food!
