Students in Mrs. Davis's class continued exploring communities in Social Studies this week. Map reading was the skill that was focused on during the lessons. Students used map grids in groups to answer questions about their farm, amusement park and city. What is better than learning, collaboration and fun all wrapped into one!

Georgetown hosted the Section 18 Forestry Competition today at Forest Glen. Our high school team placed 2nd out of 12 teams!
👏 Special recognition to Cadence Brewer, who placed 4th overall, and Aubree Latoz, who placed 10th overall out of 52 competitors. This is an amazing accomplishment—especially since they were two of the few junior high members competing against mostly high school participants!

Hey GRF Community, Pine Crest needs your help! We are looking for donations to help our students continue to learn and grow through their new Science and Social Studies Curriculums. If you are able to donate any newspapers, shoe boxes or 2-liter bottles, our staff and students would be thankful!
