#WeAreGRF We are proud!! Adriyanna Patterson of Georgetown, IL graduated with a M.B.A. in Management from Millikin University. Adriyanna was one of more than 270 graduates recognized during the 2024 Spring Commencement ceremonies at the Kirkland Fine Arts Center on May 19, 2024.

Carle Mobile Health Clinic will be at the Georgetown First Church of Christ (501 S. Main St., Georgetown, IL 61846) at the ministry center Friday, August 16th as an open clinic for walk-ins to anyone in the Georgetown Ridge Farm area and surrounding communities. School Physicals and Immunizations will be given to those students whose parents signed them up and scheduled an appoint during school registration or at the school building offices. The clinic will be open from 9am - 4pm based on appointment availability. Please bring current Medicaid or health insurance card with you to the appointment. You can call the school nurses and schedule an appointment for your student if they are needing a physical or immunization. You can also show up on Friday to check for availability, but student's with appointments will be seen first. Thank you.

Last night, the GRFC football team finished summer practices with egg toss, an epic water balloon fight, and delicious watermelon. It was a great way to end the summer. We can't wait to officially get started with the football season on August 12.

MMJH softball kicks off their season with a fun game, earned through hard work during practice this week. The winner of the Balloon Pop was Brielle Lyons!

Please join us at Pine Crest for our Open House and Orientation on August 12! Pre-K Orientation starts at 5:30, followed by Kindergarten Orientation at 5:45, and our Open House for All will be from 6-7. We will be hosting Popsicles with Principals in the cafeteria for students to meet Mr. Barth, Principal, and Mr. McCorkle, Assistant Principal. Also, a big shout out to PTO and the GRF Men's Club for their help with the event.

#WeAreGRF Buffalo basketball camp was a success last week. The campers received fundamental group work, along with individual instruction. The camp was led by Coach Zach Morgan and Coach Brad Russell.

Pine Crest is looking for a Recess Monitor. If you are interested please reach out to either Mr. Barth or Mr. McCorkle. This position has been filled before by retired community members looking for a short daytime commitment. This is a paid position and the time is 10:30-12:30.
