The Southern Illinois Healthcare Foundation (SIHF) put together for the healthcare event next Thursday (July 18th from 1-8pm).
SIHF staff are meeting with Westville District Administration to look at our facility to make sure we understand the logistics and potential "flow" of folks who may choose to participate in the event.
Bryan Ferrell from SIHF confirmed that the physicals would be billed to insurance as annual wellness check-ups as is normally done when people get physicals at other healthcare providers. Additionally, we will have hard copies of the information for the participating families when they leave.
Bryan's staff will consist of will be between 8-10 individuals, along with at least 3 school nurses (1 GRF Nurse), and likely 1-2 Westville administrators to help with the event. Other admin are welcome to join if they like.
The school nurses who will be working the event will largely just be available to help families understand what items they need for registration (school physicals, sports physicals, and/or immunizations). Nurses should bring a laptop with access to the student database (probably Teacher Ease) so they can retrieve information that would likely be useful (last physical on file, immunization records, etc.).
