Important Summer School and Project Success Busing Information - Due to the large number of students attending summer school and the limited number of bus drivers available during the summer, door to door pickup and delivery is not available unless you are outside of city limits or in Pre-K. Please refer to our district website or Facebook page for current in town pickup and drop-off locations. We cannot leave K-2 grade students at bus locations without adult supervision present. If no one is present to pickup your student at the bus drop-off location, then the student will be returned to school and a family member will have to come to the school to pick up the student. If you have questions about your student's transportation please call the superintendent's office at 217-662-8488.

Summer school forms were due today, May 7. Because of GRF going remote at MMJH and GRHS today, we are extending the deadline for forms to be turned in until Tuesday, May 11. We need to get the forms turned in so that we can plan for summer school. You can bring the forms to the office on Monday, or email them to the school office. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s school office on Monday during normal school hours.

This is GRF. The cases of COVID-19 student positives have increased in GRF Schools and across Vermilion County as well. In an effort to reduce positive Covid-19 numbers, I am announcing that GRF District will be moving into Full Remote Learning. The plan is as follows: MMJH and GRHS- will move to Full Remote Learning from Friday, May 7th through May 14th. Pine Crest Elementary will move to Full Remote Learning on Monday, May 10th through May 14th so parents have enough time to make child care arrangements. ALL students will return to In-Person Learning on May 17, 2021. Sincerely, Dr. Neal, Superintendent

This is GRF#4. We received notification last night from the Georgetown Police Department that they received a 911 call about a high school student's snap chat statement. They investigated it and determined it not to be a credible threat. As always, we are vigilant about school safety and plan to have security and counselors available as needed. We are proud of the student who made the good choice to report this incident to authorities and to the Georgetown Police Department for their quick response. We all have a part in keeping our school safe. Dr. Neal, Superintendent

This is GRF #4. Good Afternoon. This is Dr. Neal Superintendent of the GRF School District calling with some information about the return to in-person learning on April 5, 2021. First, ALL students eligible to ride a school bus must reserve their seat on the bus. If you have not had a chance to do so, please contact your school office. Second, many of our students have not been in-person at school for several months and may be feeling a little nervous to return. To help with the transition back to school, we are inviting parents to bring their student to their P-T Conferences this Wednesday and Thursday from 4-7. Students can meet their teachers, learn a little bit about what their school day will look like, and get re-acquainted with staff and student life. You may also set up an individual appointment for a school visit. Third, we recognize that the pandemic has been an emotionally difficult time for many children. I wanted to let you know that we have social workers and counselors available at each building to support your students. Also, Crosspoint Mental Health Services will help to provide additional mental health services as needed. Thank You.
