Celebrating National Student Leadership Week by shouting out two amazing mentors who’ve shaped who I am today! Mr. Pearson. He’s not just my track coach and teacher. He’s been like family (and so has the rest of his family). From cheering me on at practice to letting me be a part of his family’s life he’s always been there for me. His support and encouragement mean the world to me. Thank you for pushing me to be stronger every day. Mr Howard, my FFA advisor, thank you for believing in me and shaping me into the leader I am today. Through every contest, meeting, and early morning practice, you’ve believed in me and taught me how to lead with purpose. Your guidance through FFA has helped me grow more confident, passionate, and ready for the future. It is because of you that I know what I want to do after I graduate, and I hope someday to inspire others the way you inspire me. Scholastic Bowl celebrated the end of their season last night with an awards banquet, including a player vs. parents/coaches scrimmage (the parents/coaches won). It was a fun night that included the seniors receiving their scholastic bowl senior banners (starting a trend?). This was on top of our annual meal after regionals, which happened on March 10th at Olive Garden. Lots of great things happened last season, and looking forward to more great things next year. Thank you to all the players, especially the seniors: Weston, Liam, Maddie, Malorie, and Caleb.

Last week, the physics students at GRHS were working with an Atwood Machine. They were testing whether the theoretical time they calculated matched the experimental time for the heavier mass to hit the floor. They dropped different masses as well as needing to find the value of an unknown mass.
