Pine Crest Families! Book Fair 2023 October 2nd -11th Please keep in mind the book fair is only available for parents during the first night of parent teacher conferences on Wednesday Oct. 11th. We apologize for the inconvenience. A pamphlet that was sent home so that you can send money with your student and they will have a chance to make purchases during the school day. Last year we had WiFi issues that slowed down the process of using debit/credit cards. We are still using cards this year, but cash/checks will make the checkout process more efficient. If you have any questions, please call 217-662-6981 to talk with Miss Kennedy or email kkennedy@gobuffaloes.org.

4th grade has been working hard learning about the heart figuratively and literally. At the beginning of the week they started reading "The Circulatory Story", diving deep into all of the heart's systems. Today they learned about the components of blood using corn syrup, red candies, white beans and rice.

Students took guesses at what would float in the water, the rock or the Apple. They learned that apples float because they are made up of a lot of air, while the rock is solid all the way through.
